The Devon Moors Federation is a six school federation formed in May 2010. It consists of Chittlehampton C of E, Copplestone, Filleigh, Kilmington, Shute and Spreyton Primary Schools. All schools are also part of the United Schools Partnership Co-operative trust. Copplestone Primary School has 207 children on roll and we currently have three vacancies for Teaching Assistants to start in September 2022. We are looking for enthusiastic people to provide support for quality teaching and learning. You will need to be cheerful, creative and have a flexible approach to fit into our busy and vibrant school environment. English and Maths to GSCE level are essential for all 3 posts. 

Post 1: 1:1 TA - 32 hrs fixed term 

Fixed term post for 32 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year. We are looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work 1 to 1 with a child with SEND needs. You will be required to provide support both in and out of the classroom environment including some lunchtime cover. You must have a passion
for helping children learn and develop, be able to build good relationships and have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. A knowledge of communication needs and the ability to manage behaviour issues would be desirable. This is a temporary post linked to the successful funding application for a child with SEND and the continued attendance of the child at the school.

Permanent post for 18 hours and 15 minutes per week, 39 weeks per year. We are looking for a general TA to work 5 mornings per week to support in a classroom, both supporting the children with their learning and during breaktimes. We are seeking someone who can communicate effectively with staff and children, enjoys taking an active part in a team, is passionate about supporting children and is committed to ensuring that the physical, social and emotional well-being of our children is paramount at all times.

Post 3: Afterschool Club Leader - 9.75 hrs permanent

Permanent post for 9 hours and 45 minutes per week, 38 weeks of the year. The post of After School Club Leader is for 3 evenings per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, to run our successful and popular after school club from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will be responsible for running the after school club between 3.30pm and 5.30pm during term time. You will follow a timetable of activities set down by the Head of School and will be responsible for setting up and packing away before and after the club. You will be motivated, enthusiastic and able to communicate well with children and parents.
